We currently have positions in the Virginia area for Mechanical / Methodology Engineers, engineers that enjoy working on the creation of design automations.  The position will join an established team of engineers who work collaboratively to create custom solutions within NX (Unigraphics) utilizing an Agile Development methodology that dramatically reduces engineering cycle times.

The Mechanical / Methodology Engineer position's responsibilities include:

  • Working with the users of the solution to develop requirements
  • Contribute to the architecture of the solution
  • Be responsible for timely deliverables
  • Document the design and testing of the solution
  • Support user acceptance testing

Required Skills, Experience and Education

Experience in an engineering and/or design environments doing complex problem solving.

Experience in providing NX Customization, NX Open (API), Knowledge Fusion, Check-Mate and other programming.

Experience with object oriented code architecture and design -  primarily using VB / VB.NET, C++.  May also have Java, Fortran, C#, Perl, XML and/or UIX scripting.

Experience writing functional specifications, requirements, design documents, and standard work.

Experience in the process of conceptualizing, designing, implementing, and testing small to medium engineering software applications in an Agile environment.

Role #1 - 8+ years engineering and Programming/NX Open customization experience

Role #2 - 3-5 years experience and willingness to train in NX Open customization

BS or higher in engineering with relevant programming experience or desire and disposition to learn programming the language required for the role.
